International Lotus Lantern Parade, Union Square Park, May 8
Walking in Union Square Park today, I came upon an event called the International Lotus Lantern Parade. I’d never heard of it before but it was a nice event geared toward sharing Buddhist principles of world peace, forgiveness, and acceptance. I didn’t stay long but saw a lovely tea offering and other gentle rituals.
